Day 3 and today’s fun fit challenge is a tabata of plank variations. So you will hold the plank for 20 seconds, then rest for 10 seconds, then do that 7 more times for a total of 8 sets which equals 4 minutes. But for each set we will do a different plank variation: 1 ) front of the elbow plank, 2) front of elbow plank with the right arm held up, 3) front of the elbow plank with left arm up, 4)front of the elbow plank with right leg up, 5) front of the elbow plank with the left leg up, 6) front of the elbow plank with the left arm and right leg up, 7) front of the elbow plank with right arm and left leg up, 8) top of the push up plank. Try to hold each plank for the whole 20 seconds but if you have to rest just go back into the plank till the work part is over, then fully rest during the rest. The one arm and one leg planks are a real balance challenge and help you identify were you need to get stronger. Today’s swimsuit ready bonus is a tabata of leg lifts. This is a bonus and only should be done if you want a little bit more. Do 20 seconds of leg lifts with a 10 second rest for 8 times total. Make sure you protect your lower back by placing your hands under your bottom and keeping your back pressed against the floor and remember to breathe. These are great for the lower abs.
