July 25, let’s have a truly serene Saturday by allowing today to be our day of rest and full relaxation. Relaxing may include riding a bike, walking, dancing, swimming, boating, snuggling, restorative yoga, running, or even working out hard. It could also mean stretching, napping, reading, writing, watching t.v., and meditating. I believe if we pay attention to ourselves we each know what it is that is going to help usfully let go of the week’s work and troubles and reset. I lost a dear friend this week, so I need some time to grieve. I am looking for ways to revitalize my spirit and refresh my body. I plan to do some nurturing things for my body and mind, including but not limited too, having a good cry, or two, or three. I will get as much time outside and in nature, hopefully near water which I find comforting. I also plan to laugh as much as I possible can, maybe watching a funny movie if I need inspiration. I hope you find ways to tend to your own heart… that is our self care activity of the day, to tune into and tend to the needs of your own heart. Rest yourself in ways that restore your body, mind and heart. Tomorrow I will post a tough workout, I promise.
