September 28 and last night my friend transitioned into death at the moment of the total eclipse of the blood moon. It was mystical and magical, but it still leads to mourning this Monday. I know some movement will only help my heart, so today’s Tabata is a combo Tabata of planks and squats, 4 sets each exercise, 8 sets total where each set is 20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest. You can substitute a Tabata of kettlebell swings and goblet squats, 4 sets each exercise, 8 sets total. Today’s self care activity is to think of three things you are grateful for in your life. Today I am grateful to have known Joeand have the gift of his friendship, I am grateful for his part in the founding of Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, and I
grateful for his dignified, peaceful, and good death. Grief can be a positive experience when it is a good death at the end of a good life. Mourning can be a form of celebration.
