September 30 Struggling to Keep Going

September 30 and I am struggling to keep my momentum going. I am tired both physically and emotionally.  This is one of the hardest moments to move…when you feel heavy and exhausted.  But I have found time and time again that I feel better if I move. So let’s do a 30 second plank, 30 squats, 30 bridges for today’s workout. You can stop there or you can repeat one or two more times.  You can do any type of plank form you like but the two most common planks are the top of the push up or the front of the elbow.  Keep long tubular strength going the plank and try to engage your whole body in holding the pose. For the squats, ground your feet into the ground by corkscrewing them externally and keep your back straight and spine and neck neutral.  Start with your hips and keep your knees behind your toes.  For the bridges be sure to engage your gluts at the top of the pose and again think tubular strength. What I need to take care of myself is some totally unstructured down time…time to do whatever you feel or want in that precise moment in time… so that is the self care suggestion of the day: get some time just for you, then fill it how it pleases you!
