Monday after a holiday can be difficult to get moving again. Our workout challenge can give us a boost and wake our body up. Often to just get it done first thing gives me confidence for the rest of the day. I am following Lauren Brooks, one of my kettlebell heroines, #21daysofsquats #laurenbrooksfitness for the first part of this month. I am writing my goals as affirmations, so today, I am doing 35 goblet squats with a 20 pound kettlebell. For most of us, we might want to start with just body weight squats but I felt I needed to push myself a bit. Also for those of you who want to learn how to use kettlebells properly for the best fitness of your life, please join me for the new kettlebell classes starting Tuesday January 5 at Ekah yoga at 5:30 pm. It is an hour long class and runs for 5 weeks. At 6:30 there is a 30 minute kettlebell workout at Ekah for folks who already know how to use the kettlebell but want to workout with a group.
