Day 21 and woot we have made it to the final day of the 21 days of squats with Lauren Brooks fitness! Day 21 and we do 50 squats with our heaviest weight of the three weeks. For me, I am doing 40 pounds and have been alternating between a goblet squat with the 40 # kettlebell or two 20 # kettlebell in the front double squat form. This is my type of challenge because it really pushes me without taking up much time. Time is a premium for me and lack of time is often what will keep me from working out. Learning how to make the workouts super effective yet quick has been a turn around for me. I have been sharing my journey because it has made all the difference for me. I wish I had figured this stuff out much earlier in my life. It has been a year of my trying out doing 5-10 minutes a day of effective workouts, 5-6 days a week. I have to say it has been total success. If I do 10 minutes a day, 6 days a week, that is still only about 1 hour a week and yet it has significantly reduced my body pains and aches, allowed me to do the things I love easier and better, and made me feel more comfortable in my skin and in my clothes. It is a no-brainer for me now. This way of working out is sustainable during good and bad times. It is something I can do my whole life. And when I am doing the regular short workout, I find I am more open to other ways to move my body and be active. You did it! 21 days of squats! Tomorrow we rest and celebrate!
