Sometimes the best way to take care of myself is to let something go. It could be stuff, an attitude, a belief, or a relationship, but sometimes the best course of action if to just give it up, let it go, let the energy be transformed. Today the stuff I got rid of was junk from my garage and weeds from my garden. It feels so good to get rid of stuff that isn’t serving me. The weeds are taking nutrients from the plants I want to grow. It feels like the junk, unused or unvalued stuff, drains my energy. Getting rid of the stuff not only creates space but allows me to access the stuff I really want to use. As I lighten my load, my energy returns. I have been getting rid of clothes and finding I seem to have more to wear. The clothes that are not flattering seem to block my ability to see the clothes that do look becoming. I am getting rid of all of the clothes that do not fit right, aren’t a good color or style on me, or just don’t make me feel good. I keep asking myself do I love it or do I use it? Sometimes they are nice clothes, just not nice on me. I like to think about the clothes finding the person that they do serve and making that person feel great. Some of the stuff I got rid of was absolute trash and some will be a new treasure for the next person. Letting stuff go is trusting that there is enough and that I have enough. It is trusting the flow. I often find new things come to me when I create space. Is there anything you could get rid of that releasing might make you feel light and free? Sometimes the best answer is to just let go and discover your hands are free.
