Radical Self Care: Simple Sugar Scrub

Radical Self Care: Simple Sugar Scrub

Sometimes it is the little things…. like a wonderful sugar scrub. A couple of years ago i was struggling with horrible eczema and found sugar scrubs one of the only ways to get relief. Around that time I learn how easy they are to make. I usually just melt some organic coconut oil and then mix in organic sugar till it looks like wet sand. I might add a few drops of rose hip, jojoba, or argan oil and a few drops of a good smelling essential oil. Then I put it in a container and use it the next time I take a bath or shower. I don’t usually measure, but if you used a cup of each ( sugar and oil) and a few drops of scent, it should turn out good. When I give my skin a nice scrub it exfoliates my skin and seals the moisture in. When I get out of the tub or shower it feels like I already have your lotion on. This is a nice way to keep my skin feeling good during the dry and cold months of winter. What did you do to feel good today? How did you take care of you?
